    – 31st August

The Darkest Days are finally upon us and
    the Daughters of
    Eve shall rise again.

Jess sacrificed herself for the people she
    loved but she now
has to pay the consequences for her actions
    because something dark is coming
and it is heading straight for her. She
really did not think her life could get
any more complicated but when another tall
dark stranger walks back into her
life she realises she has a decision to
make. All she wants is for everyone to
leave her alone and let her live the life
she thought she once had but things
are getting out of control fast. The love
she has for Reuban can only ground
her for so long and her anger is beginning
to spiral out of control. If she
tells him how she really feels she could
lose him forever or get him killed and
that is a risk she could never forgive
    herself for.

The Council have accepted her for what she
    is but has she?
There is a huge possibility everyone she
loves is going to die if she stays,
but if she walks away she will have to
leave the love of her life behind and
that would rip her soul apart.

The only way out is to work with the one
    person she hates
more than anything in this world and that
was going to take a lot of
self-restraint if she was going to get
    through this nightmare without killing

Reuban can see the torment within Jess and it
    is breaking
his heart. He would do anything to ease her
pain even if it meant letting her
walk away, destroying him in the process.
His only hope is to seek guidance
from Brigate and finally understand the
true meaning of Megan’s Prophecy. It
started with a Prophecy and it is there he
will find the truth and it is a
secret that could tear the Council to

A fractured alliance will be formed again
    with a new
generation of warriors and Jess is at its
centre. The war is about to begin and
    a destiny will finally be

    Death &

I stood staring through the glass partition
    when I saw that
ginger Empath look up and storm in my
direction.  I rolled my eyes and sighed.  Why did I always
    have to receive abuse from
    women?  Civilisations had bowed
    down to
me in fear and now I couldn’t even scare a
    stupid Empath!

“What the hell do you think you’re
doin?”  She was stood in my way with her hand on her
hips and it was taking all of my
self-control not to move her out of the
    way.  Jess was obviously feeling
    because her wings were fully

“And you can cut that out right
now!”  And now the silly woman was pouting and
tapping her foot.  This will not
    do at

    bellowed.  That should have scared
but I watched in amazement when she looped
her arm in mine and turned us
    around.  I found myself looking
    over my
shoulder at Jess kissing her wolf while I
was being manhandled by a woman,

“Yadda, yadda, yadda, I know exactly who
    you are and if you
call me a stupid ginger Empath once more
I’m slapping your face.  Oh and you can pack that stupid voice in as
well.  It doesn’t work on me when
does it and it sure as hell won’t work
coming from Death, so you can just stop

    “Seriously!  When was
the last time you spoke normal?
betting you didn’t speak to Eve like that,
in fact I bet you were all hearts
and flowers before you knocked her up?” she
interrupted.  If she wasn’t careful I would judge her right
here.  How dare she speak to me in

    “HOW…”  Heavens above,
    she was interrupting me again!
stopped and stood in front of me placing
    her hand on my arm,

    “Look cut the crap!  I
can feel how worried you are for Jess so be
her father for once and not a ‘know
    it all’ celestial being.  Her
scares the shit out of her and I’m guessing
you had a hand in saving her again
so please try and be normal for

    “LOOK…” I coughed.  I
couldn’t believe a stupid ginger Empath was
making me change my voice but here
I was doing just that, “…she is my daughter
and I couldn’t let her die so I
helped her along a little.  Not
    that it’s
any of your business might I add!” I

“The name is Maria by the way, NOT the
stupid ginger Empath!  Jess is ok but she will need time to come to
terms with the fact you’re here.
Eve died it destroyed her and she’s felt
alone ever since.  Deep down she doesn’t even hate you, she
regrets not knowing you and so barging in
there isn’t going to do you any
good.  I have no idea what you’re
here because Jess isn’t ready and you have
    incredibly shit timing!” she pouted,

“I am here to protect my daughter from the
darkness and if I go back now Evelyn will
have my balls!”  I seemed to have an uncontrollable urge to
talk to this woman and it was

“Excuse me, Evelyn?” she questioned looking
puzzled.  Of course, she wouldn’t know Evelyn was in
    the mists with

“Yes Evelyn, my wife and Jess’
mother.  She would not be pleased if I simply ran back
home without trying to help our daughter!”
    I scowled,

“Eve is with you?” she said

    “Yes.  Has anyone told
you that you’re nosey for a crossbreed?” I
    said raising an eyebrow,

    “But she

    “Yes indeed she did!”
Maria was starting to try my

    “And you didn’t judge her?”
Her voice was sounding an octave higher
    probably from the shock,

    “It was not my place

    “Because she was your

YOU!” I bellowed shacking the light
I stood in absolute horror when the stupid
    ginger Empath started

    “Oh…sorry…wait…can’t breathe…oh
    God…smite!” she snorted
and I raised an eyebrow.  It was
    no wonder
Bunny and Jess liked this woman because she
    was insane,

    “Will you stop laughing?”
    Even I was starting to

“I swear if you call me a stupid ginger
    Empath once more…I
mean it!  You know Eve was my
    friend and
it was my job to protect her.  I’m
    now friends
with Jess and if you think I’m gonna let
you stroll in there and upset her
after she’s been asleep for six weeks you
    really have another thing
coming!  You may be a scary
    Archangel but
you’re also a father and it’s about time
    you stepped up to your
    responsibilities.  I promise you
once she is a little more stable I will
take great pleasure in introducing you
but for now just let her have a little time
with the man she loves, please.”

    Author Spotlight-Maureen Mayer

On the outside, Liberty Davis appeared to have it all…a loving family, a tight knit circle of friends, and a bright future ahead of her. Everything was perfect. That is until her brother tragically took his own life, turning her whole world upside down.

Left to pick up the pieces of her broken family, Liberty is faced with focusing all of her attention on helping her parents cope with the loss of their son, while putting her own life on the back burner. But what no one seems to realize is that she is just as broken inside.

Now, four years later, twenty year old Liberty is taking back the reins of her life. She leaves behind everything she’s ever known, hoping to make a fresh start…one where she isn’t faced with the constant reminder that her brother is nothing more than faded memory. What she didn’t expect to find along the way was Shayne.

Tall, dark and tattooed, Shayne Thompson has developed quite a reputation for being a player. Despite everyone’s negative perception, Liberty still finds herself drawn to him. When she learns that Shayne knows all too well what it feels like to lose someone you love, she finds that they have a lot more in common than just a physical attraction.

When Liberty discovers a secret from Shayne’s past that threatens to tear them apart, she begins to question everything she’s ever felt for him. Will Liberty choose to follow her heart or will she give up the one person who finally made her feel whole again?

The Offer-Breaking Boundaries by Crystal Blue REVIEW

Gloria’s job at Little House B&B is getting a little too routine when her boss gives her full responsibility for hosting an annual retreat for the prestigious Downs Group architectural firm. Although Gloria and her boss, Nathan Little, are experiencing some strain in their relationship, the consolation prize is the tall, dark and handsome Downs brothers…not quite twins but alike in every way that counts, including their sexual preferences. Gloria succumbs to temptation, discovering in the process that she likes MFM a lot better than FFM. But, how will Nathan feel when he witnesses their threesome on his property?

I received this Novella as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
My Overall score for The Offer would be a 3.5 stars. The book is well written with no errors to be found. That makes me very happy, because although we are all human and I know we all make mistakes there is nothing I hate more than reading a book full of errors. The story line was well executed, I just had a major issue with the trysts between Glo and the brothers. It rather disgusted me, and just wasn’t my thing. If it hadn’t been borderline menagie, the erotica would have easier for me to connect with, but considering it was brothers, that was just too sick and twisted for me.

    About the Author

Crystal Blue is the pen name of an ordinary woman with a spicy imagination and too much time on her hands. Besides writing very naughty stories that would embarrass her mother and her children, she loves to read (of course), garden, crochet and cross-stitch. Crystal is married to the man of her dreams, who is somewhat bemused by the recent uptick in romantic overtures from his wife, the result of lots of research into her genre and great enjoyment of her own work. She maintains that he is a lucky man.
